Chipola survives Tallahassee 10-6 thanks to Jesse Strickland's late-game heroics

Jesse Strickland brought home the winning run to give Chipola the lead in the eighth inning, as Chipola hung on to beat Tallahassee 10-6 on Wednesday. 

Collin Harris singled to get on base in the eighth. He then went from first to second on a single by Ryan McCullers

Strickland racked up three RBIs on two hits for Chipola. 

Culver Lamb had an impressive outing against Tallahassee's lineup. Tallahassee managed just one hit off of Lamb, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out six during his five innings of work. 

Anthony Burke got the win for Chipola. He allowed one run over 1 1/3 innings. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered two hits. 

David Vazquezz took the loss for Tallahassee. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed no runs. 

Chipola jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Jay Estessingled to ignite Chipola's offense. A single by Lazaro Rivera then moved Estes from first to second. Isiah Gilliam doubled, scoring Estes. 

Chipola got four-run rallies in the fourth inning and the eighth. In the fourth, Chipola scored on an RBI single by Jacky Miles, Jr., bringing home Gilliam. 

Tallahassee pushed across one run in both the sixth inning and the eighth. In the sixth, Tallahassee scored on a sacrifice fly by Cody Fulton, scoring Ethan Crout.
