Chipola beat Gulf Coast 5-1 on Friday at Panama City, FL behind Kevin Santa, who went 1-2. 

He singled in the ninth inning.  

Chipola relied on Jeffrey Harding to eat up innings en route to the win. Harding allowed one earned run, five hits and two walks while striking out four over eight innings of work.  

Matt Foster was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just seven innings, walked four, struck out seven, and allowed three runs. 

The lead stayed with Chipola after the second, when it scored one run on an RBI double by Andrew DiLacqua. 

Chipola matched its two-run sixth inning with two more in the eighth. In the sixth, Chipola scored on an RBI single by Isiah Gilliam, plating Jay Estes. 

The lone run of the game for Gulf Coast crossed the plate in the sixth inning on a solo home run by Christian Williams.
