Chipola score early and often in 12-2 win over Pensacola

Saturday, scoring three runs in the last two innings, on the way to a 12-2 landslide win over Pensacola at Pensacola, FL. 

Chipola scored six runs in the sixth on Chipola scored in the sixth on an RBI single by Gunnar McNeill, a fielder's choice, an RBI single by Jacky Miles, Jr., and a three-run triple by Lazaro Rivera

Kevin Santa racked up three RBIs on three hits for Chipola. He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the sixth and eighth innings. 

Chipola got the win thanks in large part to Adonis Hernandez's dominant, eight-strikeout performance. Hernandez allowed two earned runs on five hits and two walks over six innings. 

Jackson Smith was charged with the loss. He allowed seven runs in 5 2/3 innings, walked none and struck out five. 

Chipola never trailed after scoring two runs in the fourth on a two-run home run by Santa.
