Adonis Hernandez makes 2 runs hold up for Chipola in 2-1 win over Tallahassee

Chipola didn't provide Adonis Hernandez with much support, but he didn't need much. Hernandez pitched seven strong innings to carry Chipola to a 2-1 win over Tallahassee on Saturday at Marianna, FL.

Andrew DiLacqua helped Chipola pull ahead for the duration in the ninth inning. After Maurice Cooley, an error scored Cooley.

Chipola would not relinquish the lead as Tallahassee was unable to weather a two-run ninth inning deficit.

Still, Tallahassee couldn't draw even.

Addison Reed recorded the win for Chipola. He tossed two innings of shutout ball. Reed struck out one, walked one and gave up one hit.

Chad Mabini couldn't get it done on the hill for Tallahassee, taking a loss. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed two runs.

Tallahassee's lone run of the ballgame came in the sixth inning on a solo home run by Zach Featherstone

Chipola went up for good in the ninth scoring two total runs, which came home on an error and a fielder's choice.
