Chipola defeats Tallahassee after late game error, 8-6

After nine lead changes in Friday's game at Tallahassee, FL, Chipola finally pulled out a 8-6 win over Tallahassee. 

Chipola pulled out the win thanks to a strong seventh inning. An error scored Gunnar McNeill and gave Chipola the lead for good. 

Jay Estes racked up two RBIs on two hits for Chipola. He tripled in the third inning and singled in the seventh inning. 

Tallahassee's lineup had no answer for McNeill. McNeill held Tallahassee hitless over 2 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two. 

Anthony Burke recorded the win for Chipola. He allowed one run over 1 2/3 innings. He struck out none, walked two and surrendered three hits. 

Thomas Nicoll took the loss for Tallahassee. He lasted just zero innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run. 

Tallahassee jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Tallahassee's rally started when Ethan Crout singled. A single by DJ McKnight then moved Crout from second to third. Tyler Atwell singled, bringing home Crout. Tallahassee then tacked on more runs when Wilson scored on an RBI single by Geramy Walton

Chipola got one-run boosts in each of the second, fourth and eighth. In the second, Chipola scored on an error, scoring Isiah Gilliam

Tallahassee quickly matched Chipola's strong inning with a two-run inning of its own in the third. Tallahassee scored on an error and an RBI single by Walton. 

Tallahassee pushed across one run in both the fifth inning and the sixth. In the fifth, Tallahassee scored on a groundout by Robert Henderson, plating Zach Featherstone

The seventh spelled defeat for Tallahassee, as Chipola grabbed the lead for good. More runners rounded the bases on an RBI single by McNeill.
