Fifth-inning rally sparks win for Chipola, 9-1

Chipola beat Vincennes 9-1 on Tuesday at Panama City, FL after a six-run explosion in the fifth inning.

Chipola scored in the fifth on an RBI single by Ryan McCullers, an error, a sacrifice fly by Lazaro Rivera, a wild pitch, and a two-run double by Gunnar McNeill.

Jay Estes boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 3-3 day at the plate to pace Chipola.

Vincennes had no answer for Tevelle Clark, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Vincennes managed just one hit off of Clark, who allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out five during his five innings of work.

#12 couldn't get it done on the rubber for Vincennes, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed no runs.

Chipola tacked on another three runs in the ninth. A sacrifice fly scored Keiner Colmenarez to start the scoring in the inning.
