Chipola Baseball Defeats Wallace-Dothan 9-3

Chipola beat Wallace-Dothan on Monday 9-3 at Dothan, AL. 

Chipola scored two runs in the eighth as Chipola scored in the eighth on an RBI single by Jay Estes and an error. 

Estes had two extra-base hits for Chipola. 

Wallace-Dothan couldn't get anything going as long as Anthony Burke was on the mound. Wallace-Dothan managed just two hits off of Burke, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his three innings of work. 

Addison Reed got it done on the bump on the way to a win. He allowed three runs over four innings. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered three hits. 

Jacob Moye was charged with the loss. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed one run. 

The game's last lead went to Chipola thanks to a first inning rally that saw one run cross the plate on an RBI single by Kevin Santa

Chipola pushed across one run in both the third inning and the seventh. In the third, Chipola scored on a sacrifice fly by Lazaro Rivera, plating Estes. 

Chipola scored two runs in each of the fourth, sixth and eighth. In the fourth, Chipola scored on a two-run home run by Maurice Cooley, bringing home Gunnar McNeill

A two-run fourth inning helped bring Wallace-Dothan within one. A two-run home run by Sanchez sparked Wallace-Dothan's rally. B.J. White struck out to end the Wallace-Dothan threat.
