Chipola jumps on Grand Rapids early and coasts to 18-1 win

Chipola jumped out to an early lead on Grand Rapids and captured an 18-1 victory on Saturday at Marianna, FL. 

With 14 runs in the first three innings, Chipola left no doubt about the eventual outcome. 

An RBI single by Gunnar McNeill, an RBI single by Isiah Gilliam, an error, and a steal of home by Andrew DiLacqua during the first inning and an RBI double by Lazaro Rivera, an RBI double by McNeill, an error, an RBI double by Collin Harris, a hit by pitch, a sacrifice fly by Kevin Santa, and an error in the second inning supplied the early offense for Chipola. 

Chipola's Rivera was perfect at the dish, going 3-3. 

Tevelle Clark looked sharp on the hill. Clark gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his two innings of work. 

David Wright recorded the win for Chipola. He allowed one run over three innings. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered four hits. 

Trevor Russa took the loss for Grand Rapids. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
