Collin Harris's walk-off single send Chipola home winners, 8-7

Collin Harris's walk-off single off of Adam Dewitt boosted Chipola to an 8-7 win over Alabama Southern at Marianna, FL on Friday. 

Harris racked up two RBIs on three hits for Chipola. He singled in the sixth, seventh, and ninth innings.

Isiah Gilliam put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for Chipola. He homered in the first inning and doubled in the third inning. 

Addison Reed was in control on the rubber. Reed held Alabama Southern hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two. 

Chipola's Harris, Gilliam, Kevin Santa and Gunnar McNeill combined for 10 hits and six RBIs. 

Dewitt ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs. 

Alabama Southern jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first. More runs came home for Alabama Southern when Ellenburg scored. 

Chipola answered Alabama Southern's top inning with two runs of its own in the first. Chipola scored on a two-run home run by Gilliam. 

Chipola got one-run boosts in each of the third, sixth, seventh, and ninth. In the third, Chipola scored on a sacrifice fly by McNeill, plating Santa. 

Alabama Southern tied the game in the fifth on an RBI single by Tritt Fennellthat scored Hunter Ellenburg

It didn't take long for Chipola to respond as it scored two runs of its own in the fifth. Chipola scored on a groundout by Lazaro Rivera and an RBI double by McNeill. 

Chipola tied the game in the seventh on an RBI single by Harris that scored Jesse Strickland.
