Chipola survives Gordon rally, escapes with 3-1 victory

Gordon was never able to get over the hump and get over its troubles against Chipola on Friday, as Gordon fell 3-1 at Marianna, FL after falling behind by three runs in the second inning. 

Gordon scored one run in the sixth on an RBI single by CJ Edmond. Despite its efforts, Gordon couldn't get over the hump. 

Jeffrey Harding struck out eight hitters en route to the Chipola win. Harding allowed one earned run, seven hits and two walks over 5 2/3 innings. 

Jake Jones took the loss for Gordon. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed no runs. 

The game was never in doubt after the first, as Chipola scored two runs on a sacrifice fly by Isiah Gilliam and an RBI single by Gunnar McNeill

The lone run of the game for Gordon crossed the plate in the sixth inning on an RBI single by Edmond.
