St. Petersburg outdone by Lazaro Rivera and Chipola, 9-4

Lazaro Rivera had three RBIs, sparking Chipola to a 9-4 victory in seven innings over St. Petersburg on Saturday at Marianna, FL. 

He doubled in the first inning and singled in the fifth inning. 

 Anthony Burke looked sharp on the bump. Anthony Burke held St. Petersburg hitless over four innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three. 
 
Hayden Goldman couldn't get it done on the rubber for St. Petersburg, taking a loss. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed five runs. 

St. Petersburg jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the top of the second. St. Petersburg added more runs when Hollins and Guzman scored on a two-run error and Rivera scored on a wild pitch. 

The game's last lead went to Chipola thanks to a fifth inning rally that saw five runs cross the plate on two singles. 

Chipola piled on four more runs in the bottom of the sixth. A sacrifice fly scored Andrew DiLacqua to get Chipola on the board in the inning. That was followed up by Keiner Colmenarez's double, bringing home Jesse Stricklandand Collin Harris.
