Chipola falls 8-1 to Wallace-Dothan despite Lazaro Rivera's effort

 

Despite a big day at the dish from Lazaro Rivera, who finished 2-4, Chipola lost 8-1 to Wallace-Dothan at Marianna, FL on Sunday. 

Gunnar McNeill looked sharp on the rubber. McNeill held Wallace-Dothan hitless over 2 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four.  

Maddax got the win for Wallace-Dothan. He allowed one run over six innings. He struck out three, walked three and surrendered three hits. 

Wallace-Dothan was sparked by John Price and B.J. White, who teamed up for five hits and four RBIs. 

Adonis Hernandez took the loss for Chipola. He allowed six runs in three innings, walked two and struck out six. 

The lead stayed with Wallace-Dothan after the first, when it scored four runs on an error, a two-run triple by White, and. 

Wallace-Dothan matched its two-run third inning with two more in the fifth. In the third, Wallace-Dothan scored on a two-run single by John Price, plating White and Myles Edwards

Chipola managed to score one run in the fourth inning on a solo home run by Rivera.
