Chipola seize victory thanks to late, drop Columbia State 4-2

Chipola and Columbia State exchanged the lead five times on Sunday, but Chipola ended up on top with a 4-2 win in seven innings over Columbia State. 

Chipola pulled out the win thanks to a strong fifth inning. A hit by pitch scored Jay Estes and gave Chipola the lead for good. 

 Isiah Gilliam racked up two RBIs on one hit for Chipola. 
 
Adonis Hernandez recorded the win for Chipola. He allowed one run over three innings. He struck out four, walked two and surrendered three hits. 

Paisley was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed one run. 

The top of the first saw Columbia State take an early lead, 1-0. 

A key fifth-inning rally gave Chipola the lead for good. Chipola tacked on a total of two runs on An RBI single by Lazaro Rivera.
