Chipola falls to San Jacinto 7-3 in spite of Isiah Gilliam's performance

Isiah Gilliam collected three hits, but Chipola still fell to San Jacinto 7-3 on Friday at St. Petersburg, FL. 

Riley Smith recorded the win for San Jacinto. He allowed one run over five innings. Smith struck out five, walked one and gave up six hits. 

San Jacinto's Austin HomanDalton Davis and Will Foreman combined for seven hits and five RBIs. 

Mac Marshall couldn't get it done on the hill for Chipola, taking a loss. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed four runs. 

Chipola jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first. The Chipola attack began with a single from Kevin Santa. A stolen base then moved Santa from first to second. Gilliam singled, scoring Santa. 

The game's last lead went to San Jacinto thanks to a first inning rally that saw four runs cross the plate on two singles, an RBI triple by Austin Homan, and. 

San Jacinto added three more runs in the bottom of the fifth. The inning got off to a hot start when Davis singled, bringing home Josh Palacios and Austin Boyd. That was followed up by Foreman's double, plating Davis.
